The
quantum kicked rotor (QKR) is best-known as
and important paradigm of chaos in a one-body system.
It has actual experimental realisations with cold
atoms in standing waves of light, as well as
potential realisations in the one-magnon dynamics
of the Heisenberg spin chain [1]. Here, an investigation
of the effects of inter-particle interactions on the QKR dynamics will
be reported. For kicked BECs, a
manifestation of atomic interactions is in the onset
of exponential instabilities close to resonances of
collective modes [2]. In the spin-chains there are
modifications to the behavior arising from multi-magnon
dynamics.
